Yosua 7:13

7:13 Get up! Ritually consecrate the people and tell them this: ‘Ritually consecrate yourselves for tomorrow, because the Lord God of Israel says, “You are contaminated, ¹  O Israel! You will not be able to stand before your enemies until you remove what is contaminating you.” ² 

Yosua 22:16-17

22:16 “The entire community of the Lord says, ‘Why have you disobeyed the God of Israel by turning back today from following the Lord? You built an altar for yourselves and have rebelled today against the Lord. ³  22:17 The sin we committed at Peor was bad enough. To this very day we have not purified ourselves; it even brought a plague on the community of the Lord. ⁴ 

Yosua 22:24

22:24 We swear we have done this because we were worried that ⁵  in the future your descendants would say to our descendants, ‘What relationship do you have with the Lord God of Israel? ⁶ 

Yosua 24:15

24:15 If you have no desire ⁷  to worship ⁸  the Lord, choose today whom you will worship, ⁹  whether it be the gods whom your ancestors ¹⁰  worshiped ¹¹  beyond the Euphrates, ¹²  or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living. But I and my family ¹³  will worship ¹⁴  the Lord!”
